1) FAR EAST NETWORK.

A distributor network is now in place covering our operations in the Far East. Hyva Malaysia has been appointed as sole distributor for the full range of Rolamat products in Malaysia, and various companies have been appointed as distributors in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia. As our distributors, they will not only hold a stock of ready built systems, but also a comprehensive parts inventory. The staff have been trained on system installation and maintenance and will continue to be updated as new installations take place in the various areas of operation.

2) FAR EAST INSTALLATIONS.

Several system installations have already taken place. In Penang, Malaysia 2 transverse Air-Loada systems have been installed in temperature controlled trailers operating between Kuala Lumpur and Penang, and a further 2 Air-Loada systems are installed in Q7 trailers operating a contract for Malaysian Airlines on the same route. Further Q7 systems are in the pipeline for this customer.
In Singapore an Air-Loada system has been installed in a removable container. The same customer has now ordered 2 Power-Loada driven systems for the same type of equipment. These installations are believed to be not only the first in the Country, but also the first systems to be independent of the main chassis.

POWER-LOADA.

25 rigid vehicles have been successfully retrofitted with the Power-Loada system for a major British Airline based at London Heathrow Airport. The vehicles all had existing roller bed systems installed but the powered systems were required to meet the Airline's rigid Health and Safety policy. These installations were complicated by the age of most of the vehicles. Due to their age, most of the trucks ran on 12v D.C. and had to be fitted with split chargers to boost the power required to 24v D.C.

4) MACRON SAFETY SYSTEMS.

A purpose built conveyor system has been installed in the new Macron Safety Systems factory in great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The system was tailor made to suit the movement of pressurised cylinders around the new facility. A combination of gravity roller decks and ball tables enable the company to move all sizes of cylinder from goods inward to filling station, into the test bay and finally to the goods out storage area.

The installation was complicated by a major fall in the floor level across the factory, but the use of specially designed adjustable legs overcame the hurdle.

5) ROLALOAD FIRST.

16 New Rolaload systems have been supplied to Frigoscandia for their contract out of the Birds Eye Wall's hub in Coleville, Leics. The new systems were built using the same T6 Aluminium as the new Super Airbus fuselage. The material is substantially stronger than standard grade and will allow the customer to use extremely heavy electric fork trucks at depots where the Rolaload Dock system is not available, substantially reducing the risk damage to the system.

This will enable the trailers to deliver produce to the end user, as well as the initial contract delivering to the hub from the Birds Eye Wall's factories.
